I made books! A Stack of Poetry Comics

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

To prepare for today’s NYU reading, I made books!

There are 18 total! I did different white-ing on each cover. Contained are 30 pages of my comics. Some of which can’t even be found on cyberspace (mind blown).

I hope they sell. If not or I decide to make more (which now that I’ve figured out how, no big deal?) I might make them available for sale on the internet!

Soon I’ll be giving out specific info on how to get one with a cover made special for you.

If you want to buy one now (and have $12 bones) email me.

PS. this one’s my favorite:

I got a little carried away with the moon.

How do you feel about flying? Tell me in the comments, or pass me a note in Earth Science. Mr. Perry doesn’t care.

A little later with the post than usual this week. Last night, I put off coloring to throw together a video montage in honor of Mindtroll who are tonight celebrating their two year anniversary as a world famous band.

Do you ever attract fuzzy-eared creatures? What are they and how? Tell me in the comments.

Friday! Comics day.

Hung out with my grandfather yesterday. He told me how to catch a crab with a chicken foot. Good visit.

Have you ever heard a cephalopod beg for food? What sound did it make? Tell me in the comments.

I’m in Arizona, seeing people and people’s pets (my sister’s dog had a rough year which included liver surgery).

While visiting some old friends last night, I was giving some unsolicited “life coaching.” It’s a tongue-in-cheek thing that I slip into on occasion because I think the concept of me giving other people life advice with any authority is ironic and inherently funny. Typically, it focuses on things people want to do but aren’t making progress toward. I think this is the most humorous to me because I often get stuck in my own shiftlessness. The mock life coaching went on longer than usual and after a little time I found myself in the strange position of actually giving people legitimate solicited advice. It’s odd to realize that you have a useful perspective or knowledge that could be helpful to anyone. This, unfortunately, makes it less funny.

Have you ever woken up to realize someone isn’t a raccoon? Tell me about it in the comments.

Seasons Greetings from Blind to Blue

Not unlike the box above I got a little tangled up in the season, and didn’t get my page done on time. If you simply can’t handle not having a new comic this week, check out the freshly pressed (digitally) Toddlers & Tiaras & Vermin, it’s three pages for the price of one.

Or start the Blind to Blue adventure over again and see if I changed anything since the last time.

Have anything that you expect to go wrong this Xmas? Tell me in the comments.

We don’t have a screen in our bathroom window. After you take a shower, you leave the window open to clear out the steam. However, this meant we had flies in the apartment pretty much all summer. This week I noticed that it has finally been cold enough that we don’t have a fly inside. Mission accomplished.

There are a lot of poems about flies: William Blake, Charles Bukowski, Emily Dickinson and so on. If a fly wrote a poem about a human, I bet it would be like H.P. Lovecraft describing Cthulhu, but with a fly swatter.

What do you think you look like a monster to?

The Price is Right overbid noise plays in my head whenever I trip walking up stairs, bite my cheek when chewing food or cut my finger trying to open a printer ink cartridge with an x-acto knife to illegally refill it.

Have you eaten things that aren’t food? Are you concerned about it them, you know, coming out.

As always, click and zoom to enlarge!

Ducks don’t play Duck, Duck, Goose. They think it’s racist. Geese don’t mind.

What do you find difficult? Is it also rain? Are you a box, or another shape? Tell me about it in the comments.

I’m listening to songs entitled “Black Friday” on Spotify. Quite an experience. I recommend it, unless you don’t like stressful music. Get festive!

If you’d like to learn more about René Quinton visit your local library and look up “science” in the card catalog or ask a librarian for help.

Do you know of any strange experiments that changed the world? Tell me about them it the comments.
